Hunting Rules

Revised November 1st, 2010

  • Obey guide’s instructions at all times.
  • Keep safety on at all times until ready to shoot.
  • Never shoot in the direction of another hunter, dog, guide, vehicle or building
  • No spectators allowed in field without prior approval of Management.
  • If you accidentally shoot a dog, you will be charged $3500.
  • Hunter orange must be worn in the field at all times. Orange hats and vests are available in the pro shop.
  • No “high brass” or magnum shells allowed at LRL.
  • With hunting parties of 3 guns, one gun must “sit out” each flush. Guide will determine shooting rotation.
  • NEVER shoot a bird on the ground.
  • No children under 10 are allowed to hunt at Long River Lodge.
  • Do not shoot at birds flying below 8 feet off the ground.
  • Please pick up spent shells.
  • Never board a field vehicle with a loaded gun.
